The following is a blog I wrote during my internship at The Harbinger Group for their client, Powering Chicago. It was posted to Powering Chicago's news blog in Summer 2024-- check it out here.

I also wrote the social copy associated with this blog's promotion on Facebook and LinkedIn-- that copy is listed at the end.

NECA Safety Awards Recognize Powering Chicago Contractors

BLOG META DESCRIPTION: Powering Chicago member contractors have been recognized by NECA as part of their Safety Recognition Program for their commitment to maintaining health and safety standards.

This year, we are thrilled to congratulate over a dozen of Powering Chicago Electrical Contractors who were recognized for their commitment to safety in their craft by the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).

NECA’s Safety Recognition Program is an elite safety recognition that focuses on highlighting electrical contractors who have excelled in maintaining the highest health and safety standards for their employees and customers. Many of these contractors have consistently lower OSHA rates of recorded injury and fatality compared to the industry standard, and they have implemented practices above and beyond basic compliance with safety regulations.

The program is divided into two categories: Safety Excellence, which acknowledges the safety performance of member contractors, and Zero-Injury Achievement, which recognizes member companies that have gone a full calendar year without any recorded incidents.

Winners of these prestigious recognitions are selected based on four criteria: OSHA citations, incident rates, their Experience Modification Rate (EMR), and the company's operations and best practices.

Here are the Powering Chicago member contractors who are recognized as 2024 recipients:
